I guess I still need to master my power of manifestation!
The other day I was wishing for some improvement to iPadOS for business usage and for gaming.
I guess I kind of received one of the two?
From a gaming perspective, we are getting “Game Mode” and developers will receive an updated Game Porting Toolkit 2.
From a business perspective? Federico Viticci has the answers for us:
I guess we should have seen this coming. There could still be a slim chance of some features not being announced during the keynote and coming anyway later on, but certainly it wouldn’t be anything as big as multi display support or better audio/video pipeline. And from what’s been found so far in Beta 1, there doesn’t seem to be any indications of any such thing being hiding in the shadows!
Of course, in hindsight we should have realised that WWDC24 was going to be all about AI; what I didn’t see coming was the name of “Apple Intelligence”. A very clever name and from the early looks seemingly a very Apple-ly way of implementing AI.
I’m going to reserve any comments on it until I get a chance to try it personally, which for non-US residents sounds it could be a bit farther into the future.
