We are finally on the move!! I’ve been dreading some of the electrical circuits needed to make Tako an actual movable remote, but alas, here we are! As you will see from the video, all the wiring and soldering is still very rough, but I’m still learning so much on hardware and software that those are not my primary concerns yet.
As we all know, these are just temporary solutions, that will be 100% fixed once we moved to the final assembly stage 😉
You may also notice another small UI improvements: if there are many devices in a room, there is now a nice scroll bar on the right end side of the screen to clearly indicate there is more that can be seen and you can easily scroll through.
Yes, the responsiveness of the joystick still needs to be fine tuned as there are still some missed inputs, but I believe this can be fixed by tuning the code and also by improving and shortening the wiring, and those will all be the next stages of the projects, alongside an implementation of a visual battery indicator on screen.
It’s moving slowly, but it’s moving and I’m super proud of the results so far!
Happy tinkering!
